Free, community-based support groups hosted at NCCOA — spaces to share stories, learn from one another, and find you're not alone.

What to Expect

Free. Open to the community. No charge to attend.

Each group includes guest speakers and open conversation with people walking through similar experiences. There's no fee to attend, and no need to RSVP unless specifically noted.

All groups meet at the Janice Ancrum Senior Life Center, 1901 Island Walk Way, Fernandina Beach.

Caregiver Series

Five groups built for caregivers.

Whether you're caring for a spouse, a parent, or a friend, these five groups meet you where you are. Download a flyer to share, or just come as you are.

Caregiving Stress-Buster Forum

2nd and 4th Wednesday · 1:30–3:00 p.m.

Practice stress-reduction techniques, find support from other caregivers, reduce anger, hostility, and anxiety, and improve your quality of life.

The Successful Caregiver

3rd Monday · 3:30–5:00 p.m.

An educational series covering situations related to transportation, nutrition, medical equipment, “awkward” topics, side effects, and more.

Discuss the latest adaptive devices and member experiences to assist with vision loss.

Yoga for the Grieving Spirit

1st and 3rd Wednesday · 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Gentle, restorative yoga designed to compassionately support those who have lost a loved one.
